Narrow Escape

Orphel and I overestimated our strength. Fortunately, the Nuia priestess found and rescued us.

"How strong were those monsters?" Orphel said, her voice muffled by the grass that her face was on.

"I don't know," I said, as I sat dazed, trying to recall the fight.

Orphel turned from the grass to me, and smiled excitedly.

"Let's go back and take a better look." :D

Rocket the Pup

Foray into Cinderstone

Orphel and I got a little crazy in our heads and we decided to follow two reknowned warriors of her guild to Nuia!

Along the way, we got separated. Orphel and I came face to face with a group of Nuians. Just as we were going to be defeated, Pwno and Kay found us and swept through the Nuians, cutting them down brutally and swiftly. I gaped as I watched the eloquent movements of the fighters. How could anyone be that formidable?

"Hop on." Kay said. Orphel hopped onto Pwno's mount, and I took my first ride on a Black Arrow stallion with a renowned warrior of the realms.

I guess I should've asked Kay for an autograph, but I was too excited by everything to think of it!

Family trade run

Jeon is the commander of our guild, Lighthalzen. He often take us for trade runs across the sea.

Today we met some new friends while doing our trade run!

We met in Halcyona, and decided to travel back together. After all, there's kind of safety in numbers, right?

Sky Pirate's Perch

Skimble and I were exploring in the sea when we spotted an unusual-shaped rock.

"Go on, Skimble, do that classic lion-roars-from-a-rock thing!"

So close yet so far

Not only am I a frequent flier, Skimble and I are also frequent climbers. I couldn't forget the mountain in Rooksborne, so today, I decided to challenge the climb.

It was a long way up, longer than Tigerspine, which we climb pretty often.

We managed to make it nearly to the top, but there was no way up from this side of the ridge.

I decided to glider over to the opposite ridge. But I didn't stop in time, so the glider skidded over the edge and I fell.

I woke up to Skimble's big fluffy muzzle. I fell a long way, and it would take forever to get back up. Sore and aching, I decided to take a break.

Oh well. We will try again soon.

Golden Falls

Skimble and I found a strange golden cave behind a waterfall in Tigerspine Mountains. We stayed and wondered at the sight for a long time!

After we left, we went around and asked many people if they knew anything about the cave, but we couldn't find any information about the strange place. Surely there's someone out there who knows something?? The curiosity is killing me!

girl and lion in sunset

Anyone can see the road that they walk on is paved with gold
It's always summer, they'll never get cold
They'll never get hungry, they'll never get old and gray

Throwback: Shell the suave

This is Shell, a suave firran with jet black fur and golden eyes.

We weren't really close, but he was one of my first companions when I set off on my journey from Falcorth Plains. He was also the person whom told me that I should consider being a blighter, so I'll tell you a story about our journey together.

Shell and I came from the same place, and despite us not being very familiar with each other, he suggested that we go explore together. Shell was an archer and very efficient in completing his tasks and quests, so we were making good progress at the start of our journey... until I missed a task and couldn't complete a quest to earn my snow lion mount.

"Let's backtrack and take a look to see what you missed." He said to my surprise. I had thought he would leave me to my own devices and go on his hurried way. He whistled for his coalmane snow lion, which bounded into view with a majestic roar. "Hop on !" he beckoned.

I still remember it was night time, and we rode over the rippling plains with the brillant stars and moon overhead.

Well, that wasn't a picture of us riding double for the first time. In fact, I didn't have any pictures of our early adventures together, but you get the idea.

There was something about riding double on a snow lion for the first time with someone of the opposite gender. I got this feeling in my stomach and thought to myself, this must be the feeling one might get when walking into an arena fight with a thousand people cheering.

We managed to get me my snow lion cub, whom you now know as Skimble!

I thought we would continue our journey together for a long time, but when we arrived at Mahadevi, things began to change.

One day we were riding down the road outside the City of Towers, Shell stopped and got down from his snow lion. "Let's duel." He said. I had never fought a duel for real, so I was at a complete loss at what I had to do. He ran around from me like a housefly, and before I knew what happened, he unleashed his primeval skills and defeated me. He made a face at me as I pulled arrowheads out of my tail.

Things started to change after that. Slowly, Shell stopped showing up, and I wouldn't know where he had gone. Sometimes I wouldn't even see him for days. When we did meet, I noticed he was becoming stronger a lot faster than I did. I tried catching up to him, and every time I thought I've finally caught up, he would have became even stronger the next time we met. I felt like there was no way I really could catch up anymore, even though I always told him I would.

He seemed to be doing things by himself all the time, too. "Come join the guild activities!" I wrote to him, "Come on trade runs with us!" but days turned to weeks, and I stopped hearing from him. We still weren't as close as friends could be, but I felt rather sad nonetheless. Was it boring to travel with me? Was it because I lost to him? Was he leaving me behind because I was too weak?

Finally, one day, I received a note from him.

"I'm bored of this travelling and questing," he said. "This life isn't for me. Sorry, but I'm going back."

And I never heard from him again.

So that was that. What an anti-climax ending to this part of my journey, huh?

---

Fortunately, my guild and my family was there as well, so I was never really alone. My first guild and my family members are an interesting bunch, I would love to tell you more about them in another entry. So, here is a preview of what I will write about next time.

That's all for today !

Getting Around

There are many ways to get around Haranya. You could ride an animal, or take a public coach,

or squeeze on a friend's vehicle and try not to fall off if you can, amongst other things.

If you're at sea, you could also take a boat. There is no lack of transportation methods. Here's a picture of my new row-boat.

Amongst all the options, though, it wasn't long before I discovered the joy of flying.

... but no matter how you travel, being with your friends makes that journey so much more enjoyable. Don't you think so?

Hello

This was me, not too long ago.

I like to travel with my snowlion. Sometimes we climb mountains, and sometimes we accidentally run over cliffs.

I used to just call him Fluffy; now he is named Skimble.

Nice to meet you :)
