Vel

"Hey Vel, pose for a picture, would ya?"

"Like this?"

"... you look too cute! Come on, make an angry face."

*scowls*

Looking for trouble

Buddha, one of our senior members, built a Black Pearl galleon with help from the guild. Needless to say everyone was incredibly proud of this achievement, as our guild is one of the first to own this impressive ship!

"Let's go pirate-hunting!"

Dance Party

Vel stripped down to her underwear and proceeded to dance on the table.

"Vel, you slut!" Aifi shouted. But after a while, she jumped on and join the dance too. With her clothes on, of course.

While the boss is away ...

"Hey, Vel,"

"What's up Luka?"

"Look what shifu passed to me for safekeeping."

Aifi seemed to be dissatisfied about something lately.

Vel told me it was because she was too impatient, seeing others' success, but not how much hard work, sweat and tears had been put in, or the hundreds and even thousands of failures that had to happen before. She expected to succeed.

Aifi tossed the bundle to me before leaving in a huff, telling me to sell it to whoever paid the best price.

"I don't think so," Vel said, "She's probably just angry for now. These pieces are like her life. I am sure she would be heartbroken if someone actually DID buy them."

I wish I could make Aifi feel like it was worth her effort to hang around, but I guess there wasn't anything either Vel or I could have done. So instead of worrying, we posed with Aifi's armour and took some pictures with it.

Later on, Aifi came back, seemingly calmer.

"Did anyone buy the armour?"

"... Nope."

"Not at all."

"Well, some joker offered 3000 gold."

Vel and I looked as innocent as we could.

"3000 gold for celestial Epherium? He can go to hell!"

Aifi took back her armor, put it on, and walked off.

Tryster's Garden, Two Crowns

Today my guild-mates and I visited Two Crowns.

We flew around the Two Crowns castle walls on our gliders ...

... until we got to a pretty little garden hidden along the cliffs, full of blooming flowers. The garden was so cozy that I fell in love with it!

It's such a pretty place and has such an incredible view, don't you think so?

There are friends that I wished were there with me, but they weren't. I can't wait to take them there!

Foursome

We were waiting for everyone in the raid to arrive for a mini boss fight, so Jino, Vera, Skimble and Sam decided to pose for a photo.

Climbing the Volcano

Today Vel and I tried to scale a volcano in auroria.

We made it halfway up, but the slopes are too steep nearer to the top.

We scrambled around for a while, before recalling back to Ynyestere.

Serpentis, revisited

Passengers

"Hello there, are you headed for Rookbourne as well?"

"Why yes! I've been waiting for so long, I wonder if the airship will be here soon! Let me check the telescope....
.......
..... I can't see anything at all!!!"

"You ... you're looking in the wrong end ..."

Foray into Hasla

As I became more familiar with my skills, Skimble and I began our journey into increasingly dangerous regions. Soon, we headed to Hasla to begin our quest for better armor and equipment.

Hasla is a deceptively beautiful country, full of strange sights and sounds, and chances for glory, though only for the strong. Here, it is not just the monsters and beasts you need to be wary of, but also the people. Nuians, Elves, even Haranyans from our own continent - you will never know if someone would turn against you for riches or fame.

On a lighter note, here's a picture of us on the tallest tower in Veroe, the capital of Hasla.

Introducing Soupy

Other than Skimble, I also travel with other animal companions. Today I'll introduce one to you.

This is Soupy the elk. I picked him up as a tiny little calf in Gwenoid Forest in Nuia and brought him back to Haranya. I called him Soupy because he would make these elk sounds that sounded like he was slurping soup.

Travelling with Soupy is always a surreal experience. With Skimble, you can always tell how he feels because he shows his feelings without hesitation with his many different purrs and growls, the different body languages, and the way he bounds and charges at things. Soupy, on the other hand, is very different. He is not particularly talkative and never asked for much, always preferring to simply run quietly and gracefully.

Perhaps it is partially because of his nature, and also because we don't have a common language to speak in, since I am a Haranyan Firran, and he is a Nuian elk. But that doesn't mean he doesn't tell you how he is feeling or what he wants. What makes me appreciate Soupy is that somehow, we always find other ways to understand each other. Sometimes, all it takes is a turning of the head at a scenery, or a worried sidewards glance at a Nuian in the distance, and he would understand.

Did I also mention he also trots like a dancer, and has an elegant way of jumping over the tallest of obstacles and widest of rivers?

Travelling with Soupy strengthened my belief that friendship can be forged, no matter how different you are, as long as both parties make the effort to understand and be good to the other!

Villanelle

This picture was taken during one of our visits to Villanelle.

Villanelle is a pretty town of  majestic harbour views, cliffs, beautiful lute music and cherry blossoms. The townsfolk are gentle, soft-spoken people, walking the many stone bridges and sailing their big junk boats floating down the harbor.

One drawback of travelling to this town by foot is that many villagers living in the outskirts seemed to be addicted to their famous rice wine. Skimble and I would be running along the padi dykes, minding our own business ... and suddenly drunkards would run after us, shouting "It's YOU!!" and try to gang up on us for no reason. What the heck !

... I totally didn't dismember drunks to feed them to Skimble.
Even if I did, it was an accident. And they would be sliced and diced, not dismembered, assuming IF I had done it, of course.

...And even IF that happened, it would've been their fault anyway.

*innocent look*

"Hey, Skimble!"

*Growl?*

"Come look at this!"

*!*

"I wonder what that is? Let's go find out one day!"

Cruisin'

Our guild went on a cruise at Auroria, upon Buddha's Black Pearl :D

Hello !

Here is a throwback picture of me and Skimble, on that day we decided to rowboat into the ocean just to see how far we could go.

Along the way, we came across several unmarked islands, as well as a rock in the middle of the sea called the Sky Pirate's Perch. Being natural climbers, of course we had to get on it.

Not that I minded, but Skimble sat there looking cute all the while and I had to do all the hard work rowing while staring at his swishy tail. Oh well, what do you expect a lion to do ?

That's all for now, until next post !

Auroria with Orphel

Orphel and I went to explore in Auroria today!

Stairway to Heaven

Howl and Kelly, our guild master and mistress, nailed a bunch of crates together and made this ... structure above the guild house!

Here is me, Sam and Kelly sitting on the Challenge Chair on top of it ... just to see who'd stay the longest without sliding off!
